Hotter Than Hell: My first Kiss album and my second favourite album of all time!
Nice runs of Abba and Sabbath there too. I love the fact that most people would consider them contradictory, but you got ’em both right there.
I love Catch a Fire…I have the deluxe edition, thanks to my buddy Aaron over at Keeps me Alive!

Very nice, Mike! The first two KISS albums are my favorites along with Alive, though I’m only up to 1976 in their discography. What’s your #1 of all-time?

It’s Born Again by Black Sabbath, and the common thread there is that both it and Hotter Than Hell are criticised frequently for really bad overdriven production. Yet something about both really mean something to me!
Alive is just flawless to me. It doesn’t bother me that they say it’s only 35% live. However they did it, it turned out great!

Wow, that is unexpected. I need to hear Born Again. Actually, I need to hear the Dio albums first.

I heard Born Again before I even heard Ozzy sing with Sabbath so I had everything backwards. I thought Ian Gillan was “the singer of Black Sabbath”. He had the look anyway.
The two Dio albums are excellent, in my opinion! But the jazzy swing of the early stuff is clearly gone.

Ovidiu, great variety. I will go with Van Morrison as a favorite, but there are other good ones here. Keith

Van Morrison is transcendental. I’ve gotten into his music this year and can’t stop listening.
